1 What are the signs of head lice infestation?

If you feel something moving on your or on your child’s scalp, this may be an indication of head lice. Other common indicators are redness and irritation on the back of the neck and/or ears.

2 Does the person with head lice have to cut his hair to remove head lice?

The person infected with head lice does not need to cut his hair to remove lice. Getting a haircut solely to remove head lice is an old-fashioned method and it may be at odds with the concerned individual’s cultural values, aesthetic preferences and climatic conditions. 6 How do I know for how long head lice have been residing in my hair?

You may find this out by calculating the distance of nits from your scalp. Nits are often left near the scalp, while human hair grows 1 centimetre (cm) per month. Thus, for instance, nits that are 2 cm away from the scalp indicate that lice have been occupying your hair for around two months.

7 Can head lice develop resistance against Nitty-Bitty formulas over time?
